Dancing for Jesus for Eternity

by Lipton   May 14, 2005

Her never-ending smile,
Brought peace to all our hearts,
Her love, a soothing fire,
Brought warmth to every part.
She longed to dance the night away,
In perfect time and grace,
But every story ends sometime,
And hers just found its place.

Now she's dancing for Jesus for eternity,
Living out the dream she's always held.
For all her life she tried to dance like the angels,
Now all her dreams are coming true.
Her graceful step to the Heavenly chorus,
Joined with the thousands upon high,
Combine for the perfect presentation,
Of love, of light, and life.

Her Angelic voice, and graceful step,
Is recorded in our minds,
The things that we remember,
Can't fully be defined.
Her love and all her sweetness,
Is left within our hearts.
Her sudden, unsuspected leave,
Has torn a world apart.

Now she's dancing for Jesus for eternity,
Living out the dream she's always held.
For all her life she tried to dance like the angels,
Now all her dreams are coming true.
Her graceful step to the Heavenly chorus,
Joined with the thousands upon high,
Combine for the perfect presentation,
Of love, of light, and life.

So many tears have bid her gone,
And still some cannot fully tell,
The reality of her absence,
It's like a terrible Hell.
"Time heals all wounds," some say,
And though we must go on,
Her legacy of love and determination,
Will keep us going on.

Her body might be broken,
And her soul might not be here,
But her perfect performance,
Can bring you multitudes of cheer.
So dance in memory of her,
Sing louder to make her proud,
Just wait a while longer,
Whitney's waiting in Heaven's shroud.

Dedicated to Whitney Nicole Mason, who died in a car wreck, alongside her best friend Lacey, on Saturday, May 7, 2005.

That was so beautiful, yet so sad. You did a wonderful job. I'm so sorry that this tragedy took place. But I love how you wrote that she's dancing for Jesus. I'm sure she is. Take care and God bless.

I know I have already commented but I just read this again and I love it. To tell the truth I teared up a bit. I know she would approve.
