Time is Not on My Side

by ..:: SiMPLiCiTY ::..   Jan 2, 2005

You catch me staring from across the room
We've never spoken, but I like your shoes..
Then I see you walkin down the hall
I am praying you didn't see me fall

When I see you the world is muted
I wanna ask where your from without looking stupid
I wanna play you this song let you see who I am
I wanna go outside and play kick the can..

I'd like to walk up to you and ask you for change
But your sitting next to the vending machine, that would be strange
Time is not on my side..

Don't leave me here..

I catch you staring from across the room
We've barely spoken, you like my shoes
Then you see me behind you on your way home
And wonder if I notice that I'm not alone

When you see me your world is muted
You wanna ask me where I'm from without looking stupid
You wanna sing me this song let me see who you are
You wanna go outside and watch the stars...

I wanna walk up to you and ask you for change
But your sitting next to the vending machine, that would be strange
Time is not on my side...

Don't leave me here...

(More a Song than poem.. Props to JW)
