If Only She Would've Known

She sits alone in her room
with the music turned up so loud
shutting out the world
to never love again she vowed

she put that same sad song on repeat
from him she was left a broken heart
when she trusted him more than anyone
all he did was tear her apart

her first and only love
and he told her lie after lie
with him she thought it was different
and he was just like every other guy

the rain is pouring down hard
she opens up her window
and gets out on the grass
quietly so no one would know

she dances and dances
her music is the rain
and just for a moment
her dancing takes away the pain

then the rain stops
and she remembers once more
what was making her cry
she had never felt this way before

climbed back in her window
letting the tears just fall
she turned up her sad song
and let the phone just ring for every call

but she didn't know
and would never know
that it was him trying to call
he wanted to say he never wanted her to go

and that he was sorry and just confused
but now they are both alone
because that night she took her last breath
