In the Dark

by Hannah Leigh Pate   Jan 2, 2005

In your darkest thoughts
In the darkest corner of your mind
I am always watching you
With my dark, cold, intensified eyes.

In your darkest room
In the middle of the night
I am the creature
Keeping you up with fright.

In the darkest night
At the peak of the blue moon
I am haunting you
As the person you never knew.

When the light goes out
Prepare to die without end.
You soul will never lift
And you will suffer again.

Your eyes are the only;
No one else is able to ever see me
No one can help you
They’ll run; thinking you’re crazy.

In the dark
You will only find
My wretched soul
Corrupting your mind.
