Breathe My Angel

by Hannah Leigh Pate   Sep 15, 2005

Coldness.
My angel, breathe.
Darkness.
My angel, just see.

Emotionless.
Angel, cry me no more tears.
Loneliness.
Angel, have no more fears.

Each sad emotion within your soul,
Each dark thought you may own,
Will you wash them all away for me?
My sweet, sweet angel… just breathe.

You have guarded me,
And looked out for me,
Been there through it all,
My each rise and each fall.
My angel, do not leave my side.
I need you here… I need you alive.
Wake your eyes and brush away tears frozen.
I need you here… you’re the one I’ve chosen…

My sweet angel…
My beloved angel…
I beg of you, please.
Wake up… and breathe.
