Dance for the Gods

by Hannah Leigh Pate   Sep 23, 2005

Wind rustles through my hair, while lifting my soul high
Forced in this world but lost to another, similar to Gods Gemini
Music of earth pounding in my head and rhythm taking control
Radiance of my own glowing and freedom seeping into my soul

Aphrodite is my beauty,
Apollo is my light,
Hecate is my darkness,
And Hades is my night.

Dancing freely, I decide for I, to let loose
Rain begins falling from Rain-God, Zeus
Beautiful motions of my aching body dance
Getting so lost inside this marvelous trance

Athena is my power,
Hermes is my flight,
The Muses are my song,
And Ares is my fight.

Dancing with the Gods, I will stay
Apollo’s truth will lead the way
Is this forbidden, I’ll take the chance
But for the Gods, I shall dance
