Gone Astray

by Ð맆îñ¥   Jan 2, 2005

I’m out of place
Outside its sunny
Inside there’s a storm

I have that dumb expression
Half a smile, half a frown
I don’t know how to look

I’m incomplete
Something’s missing
Maybe someone should help me find it

The jigsaw’s laid down
There’s a piece missing
It’s nowhere to be found

I’m looking in the shadows
I can’t see in the light
My eyes are blinded

I can’t fit in
I’m noticed
As if what I miss is an arm

I can’t do what they expect
Disappointment surrounds me
Even that can’t fill me up

I walk the streets
Without a sound
I do not hear the footsteps

Out of nowhere the streets shine
I’m greeted by that friendly face
That smile unmissable

You’re home.
