Red Storm

by Ð맆îñ¥   Feb 8, 2006

The blunt edge rips the rough paper
Angry blotches and smudges of blood
Tearful eyes and broken sighs
A forgotten crimson flood

A crooked laugh, a smile in the eyes
A hand brushing aside all the lies
A coughing menace, writhing on the floor
It's not enough; there should be more

A second streak; lightning falls
The eagle drops upon its prey
A flash of fear grips the heart
Knowing look, can't say

Another rumble of thunder
Erupting from the heart
A cold red blade tickling the side
On and on, again and again

A muffled cry through the hands at the mouth
Screams melt into the night
Under the stars of this storm
The lightning has made some light

Beautiful.. I wonder why you seem to have stopped writing, or maybe, at least, stopped sharing them on site, when you create such a beautiful imagery on the page..? Well done. xx

I liked it a lot, good job. but i really do hate that damn spellchecker, it destroys good poetry, they should do something about that.
