Choices

by chris johnson   Jan 6, 2005

The anguish and pain
in everyones life
is multiplied by twenty
when they are in strife

the pain and torture
that one could feel
is nothing compared to
one who could steal

the torture and theft
of a human heart
should never happen
and should never start

the theft and heart
which should never be hurt
but when that happens
on always feels like dirt

the heart and the mind
which never act alike
always go different ways
yet always seem alike

the mind and the soul
which should always be pure
and love should happen no other way
there should be no pain to endure

the soul and the heart
which should never be the same
and all that happened
don't listen to just one claim

for the heart and anguish
should never be intertwined yet the heat and soul, go together
its all in the mind

whatever i do is my choice
and theres no changing what you think
i just hope love will conquer
and my tears i will no longer sink
