Meet u in heaven

An angel took you away
because you were crying
we never knew the truth
that inside you were dying

Your voice was getting raspy
your tender touch was cold
I had to accept the fact
that you were getting old

This world was far too much
for a man like you to take
so an angel took you away
up to heaven's gate

we sat here and we cried
but we new it was for the best
now you were lying peacefully
hardworking hands at rest

we're all going to miss you
you dissapeared into thin air
but I'll make you a promise
soon enough I will be there.

*this poem is about my grandpa who died. i mis him so much

    Very good poem, i enjoyed it, nothing fancy about it..so that you have to sit and think about every line for ten minutes before you get it.

    I think your going to be a very well set poet if you keep with it. I am going to add you to my favorites, i look forward to your newer peices.
