A wide window

A muffled sound
An open door
A high-pitched scream
A thud on the floor

A mother dead
A smoking gun
A child, scared
A war begun

An army marching
An invaded town
A ransacked mansion
A stolen crown

A new leader
A doomed nation
A worldwide terror
A destroyed creation
