More Than I Could Ask

by Brad Champagne   Jan 8, 2005

In this quiet, humble place,
I close my eyes and seek thy face.
Beauty and enduring grace
Around this portrait be a lace.

Upon my journey, day by day,
I ever make my weary way.
With poem and rhyme I may convey
Things I dare not out loud say.

Evermore for you I'll be
A shining pillar of charity.
The pleasure of thy company
Is more than I could ask of thee.

Nice poem. Tender love story, great flow from start to end.

I have read some of your other poems I really like your style. Look forward to reading more.

Thank you for your comments, my style is writing is very impulsive in context hence the pace.

    Kind regards
    Hayley
