Don't you care about us?

by latin girl   Jan 8, 2005

I sit here with words running through my head
How can you do this to us
It's driving me insane
Did i do something wrong
Poor mommy
Holding on strong
To get us through this
She's such a better person than you were
Always there for me taking me everywhere
You never cared for me
I don't even hate you
I pity you for all that you lost
You wont get to see us grow up anymore
Or to see the success i made
You walked out on us
I'll be OK
In the end I'll just be the better person
Standing strong and tall
And you'll look up at me and regret it all
Thank God for mommy who sticks it with us
Thank God for her cause i can't do this without her
Yea i sit here with words running through my head
Why would you want your own children to hate you or pity you
Why would you just leave them behind
Don't you care about us
I stand here asking you ,pleading you
Just do one thing for me and
Just answer
Don't you care about us?

That was great. Through this, I can understand your anger and pain - and so you should feel that. A brilliant poem all in all.

I like to find poems on this site where people don't just rhyme for the sake of rhyming. You have helped me find yet another good example of this. A great poem.

    Keep Writing.
