Vampire Lady

by GoddessOfWings   Jan 9, 2005

Her lips as red as roses,
her skin as white as snow,
and her pitch black eyes against her red ruby hair,
does really make her glow.

Her fangs are very sharp,
but very elegant too,
as she wanders through the darkest nights,
her lips taste the blood of a few.

With her slim and gracefull body,
and black dress against pale skin,
she's an aphrodisiac to all mortal men,
they are lured and her feast may begin.

But although she wanders alone,
there is something she desires,
someone to hold her and be dark with her,
someone who, too, conspires.

But until the day she meets him,
she will continue to travel alone,
preying, feasting, then moving on,
and never being known.

it gives you that feel that vampires aren't monsters, their beings like the rest of us, searching the world for a place they fit into

  • I love this, it's beautiful.
Vampires aren't considered to be beautiful, they are considered dark, unearthly, evil creatures, but in this poem you capture the idea that they really are beautiful, yet still strangely terrifying.

O0o0o0.. I LOVE IT! This was brilliant. You chizzled out every fine detail and twisted it all in the end, with painful truth. It was great. Keep it up!!
