Infliction

by Sarah Hotard   Jan 10, 2005

He looks at me with his insecurities
They override his beauty
He takes a sip of his death
And he wishes everything on me
I pray only for night to fall
so I can come around and crawl
My knees ace from all this kneeling
It's the only way to numb this feeling
I need a watch I need the time
I need to know my boundaries
So I can cross the line
I feel black and blue
Like my heart it is bruised
I feel nothing
I see nothing
The only future I have is you
Who is this you ask
That brakes my heart and tore your sanity apart?
It is better to ask the person who never wanted to let go
You try to fufill your destiny
with fake smiles and unreal dreams
you try to ease all of your past but the cloth just unreels
Who is this you ask?
Who hurts you do?
Who is this you beg me to let go
I crawl inside again into my shell
I want you to know but only time can tell
I turn around and see my reflection
And you then realize who has caused this infliction.
