Enlightened

Isn't it strange when the mind is in darkness
Then its suddenly awakened by a light that comes shining
Showing everything that is kept within
I see how it will be when i find the right Timing
I was shaken from me but it wasn't frightening
An amazing feeling, truly enlightening
To see whats there, to know so much
To be so close but not able to touch
Then it was over, the glimpse had gone
But I know inside the light will stay on.

There are so many things that are out of this world
I opened up and stared inside at what I'd seen
The universe lit up and expanded before my eyes
Infinite knowledge held safely inside an infinite dream
It spins inside and changes with time
Everywhere we look there are many a sign
Maybe we wont recognize what we see at a glance
Or discover the outcome of the untaken chance
Until its returned UN-noticed through our eyes
Disappearing as quick as it was seen, but will we realize?

One minute fading into the night
Into the depths it falls and falls
Surrounded by the protective light
But will you hear it when it calls?
Can you read the signs that are left for you
Will you walk by, will you know what to do?
Will you hold on tightly to the world in your hand
Will you open up and really get to understand
Whatever the outcome you really should know
That what you see doesn't always show.
