Once In A Blue Moon

by ♥-Sharon Ardern-♥   Jan 12, 2005

Sometimes I sit, staring up at the sky
Today it’s so bright, pure blue
And on days like these, I don’t want to cry
Because it seems such a silly thing to do

I can’t see a single cloud to taint the view
A voice inside says rain will come back
And my sky, now so wonderfully blue
Will turn to it’s usual black

So I want to hold this moment forever
This moment when the sky is so clear
And I feel some of me has pulled back together
But that voice says it won’t stay here

But for now, I’m drinking in the light
Letting the sun wash over my pain
So that when I sit under the dark tonight
I can remember the sun, even through the rain.
