A Unity

by Timothy   Jan 12, 2005

Life isn't easy,
And I'm nearly beating myself to death;
I have been kin to downtrodden thinking,
These rasps of torture are revealed in my quickened breath.

I do not want to succumb to my misery,
Because life can be a wonderful state;
If you reach out and grasp my hand,
Together, we can live a better life, that we, ourselves create.

I want to thrive,
In a connection of the heart, mind, and soul;
Because I should see what I have,
And stop this self-inflicted stress that I have tolled.

Your love, it's such an incredible experience,
A grand security, knowing that you are at my side;
Love me, forever, my darling,
In our unity, we will forevermore erase the tears we separately cried.
