Crimson Stains

by twisted faith   Jan 14, 2005

As the blood flows
I marvel in its beauty
In its ability to heal
Even if it’s only for a while

It spins its deceitful lies
Making you believe
Your pains has all gone
You’re deceived by its sting

It runs its well known course
Gliding its way
Down your arm
Like it has so many times before

The crimson blood leaves
It’s mark on the cloth
As you clean up
Knowing anyone could walk in

You explain away
The crimson stains
As you always do
Knowing they’d never understand

They ask a simple why
You’re arms are always covered
You fear they’ve figured you out
Now what will you do

You worm your way out
Saying that they always have been
You don’t know they don’t believe
A single word coming out

It’s too late now
Your path has already been drawn
They walk in one day
Only to find the horrible truth

You’re dead upon the floor
The scars hidden still
But for this once it’s only by
Those crimson stains
