Body And Soul

by rachel   Jan 18, 2005

Don't remember troubling soul
It will only cause more pain
Don't think with him you were whole
Forget the forever stain

Don’t cry sad eyes, don’t cry
He’s gone away for good
So forget the way he did lie
You know you really should

Try not to quiver trembling lips
Nothing can bring him back
Forget the love you took in sips
Think not of what you lack

Be still sorrowful heart beating
There’s nothing more you can do
Thoughts of him should be retreating
This painful reality is true

Don’t fidget lonely hands
There’s no one to hold on to
Remember nothing of his demands
Don't think of what he did to you

Turn not uneasy stomach, turn not
Live your life brand new
Don’t be tied in that tight knot
Don’t think of how he’s untrue

Stop moving unable legs, don’t move
There’s no one left to follow
You have nothing more to prove
There’s nowhere left to go

Don’t collapse weak knees
Find your lost strength anew
There’s nothing left cease
All of this you know it’s true

Try not to patter silent feet
He really has gone away
Don’t remember your defeat
Never think of him another day
