Children Live In My Heart

by Ann Stareyes   Jan 18, 2005

I wonder how many children in this world, Gets abused each and every day, I wonder how many get beaten, In such a horrible way?**** I wonder if they have enough to eat, Or only enough to get by, Or if they go to bed starving, With tears in their little eyes?**** These things tug at my heart, A lot of the time, If only I could find a way, To keep them off my mind.**** But children are my heart, The sunshine in my eyes, If I could punish the ones that did them wrong, They would pay with their life.**** If only I could change this world, The children would come first, Never would they be abused, AND NEVER NO MORE HURT.****

That was a great poem. It just made me feel soo happy. OK now your thinking I am phyco, right? It makes me happy to see that there are people who actually care, when I was sitting here thinking no one cared about anyone but themselves. Glad I was wrong.
    Great poem.

This poem firstly was beautifully presented, and secondly held so much sadness and truth.

This subject and matter is something of which I am involved so for me this pulls at my heart greatly...
