Right after we broke up
I can't believe I didn't see
You showed every sign
That you were still in love with me

But when I realized this
Your attitude changed
Like you wanted me to think you didn't care
Looking back, it's so insane

You're trying to make me think
That now you feel free
When really you're just hiding
How much you still love me

You can add "ed" to anything
And make it past tense
But you can't try to change the way you feel
And make it make sense

Now the charade is over
and I'm sure that this is true
I figured it out, now I'm just hoping
