A World Away (Part One)

I’m bleeding
All over your floor
Crying for my dreams
That don’t exist anymore

I am so broken and gone
This mind is now an open book
For all who see me
To easily take a look

Please, I see you standing there
So far from me, a world away
Why don’t we connect anymore?
Why can’t you think of anything to say?

For so long I was so alone
And now I feel so much despair
Just wrap your arms around me
So I know you still care

But you just stare at the blood
Pouring across my skin tonight
And as soon as I see your tears
I know it can never be alright

You walk away and I cry louder
But you just go further from me
I curl up not caring about the blood
This isn’t how I wanted it to be

And I don’t know where
To take it from here alone
I see your eyes, that you’ve given up
And I know I’m on my own.
