She knew it when she met him,
From the very first time.
They were meant to be together,
There was no doubt in her mind.

They were immediately together

There was an instant connection
And there friends could feel it too

There parents went through everything
Thinking it wouldn't last

With relationships in the past

Then they were finally separated
Both hearts being torn
It felt like tearing petals off a rose
And being pricked by its thorn

They found a way to be together
Secretly meeting late at night
Making love until the sun rose And Holding each other tight

They finally realized this was no way to live
That secretly loving your soul mate
Was more effort
Then they could give

One night they went together
Bringing along a knife
Kissing each other good-bye
And taking each other's life

The plunging of the knife
Stood for the sacrifices they were making

Stood for the measures they were taking

No one knowing just why they died
