Troubling Pains

by Melissa   Jan 22, 2005

As I walked across a deserted play ground at midnight I noticed a swing swinging!

I hastened to sit in it...
and when I sit, the swing breaks.
I lay on the ground never wanting to get up.

And I thought....
Why my troubles?
Why my pains?
Why am I left....
Left to die in the cold.

I lay there thinking about my troubling Pains,
Feeling sorrow for myself.
I felt like my ass bone was broke.

Then I thought...Should I lay here forever?
I'm not wanting to get up so I lied there.

My pains were brought by misery and hatred.
I haunt my haters.

And I thought....
Why my troubles?
Why my pains?
Why am I left....
Left to die in the cold.

Thought you're poem could have been stronger if given a main topic, as your main verses were very strong but the rest of th epoem let it down
