Lone Soul

by Jessy   Jan 22, 2005

I am but a lone soul,
Searching for the one that
Will complete me, fulfill me.
I stair into the bleakness of the world
Longing for a someone.
Knowing that there is none
Who can take away the loneliness.
I lay awake at night aching for the love
That has been long forbidden to me.
I crave the feeling of a kiss,
That will not come.
For my soul will forever be one, forever alone.
I search the streets in vain for him
That has been destined to be mine.
Yet out of all the faces that I have seen
None has intertwined with my heart .
There isn’t any that will heal the lone soul
That I’ve claimed to be mine for so long.
I walk into the corner to hide
From the world that mocks my very soul.
It mocks because I am alone.
I am but a lone soul that has given up my search.
