Secrets

Secrets hide behind these eyes
Of anger, disgust, hatred
A shattered piece of glass
Is what I bring myself down to be

Secrets hide behind these eyes
Covering up what she has done
Staring, narrowing, glaring more
Never to look another way

Secrets hide behind these eyes
How they always looked so genial
Now dark clouds overcome them
Ready to burst at any moment

Secrets hide behind these eyes
The ones now shedding tears
Stirring down your cheek
A familiar feeling to her

Secrets hide behind these eyes
In the corner of the room, she’s
Calling you to protect her
Calling you to help…

i really like this one. it gives me the sensation of when you're on the verge of beaking down. when secrets, worries or whatever, pile up untill the only way you can express them is when they come out of your eyes in form of tears. i have always loved the use of naming yourself 'her' or 'she' im not sure if that was your intention, but i think it was very effective. oh and also love the repetition of the first line...love it...love it!!
