Birdie birdie

Birdie birdie

Birdie birdie I hope that you are all right,
Cause why aren’t you in your cage tonight?
The cage door somehow has been opened.
And now this story is about to only deepen.

Kitty kitty I hope you like being an alley cat.
Cause you sure are grinning and looking fat.
The front door I open and so out forever you go.
And now this story ends with kitty on skid row.

I bought a blank card with a pitcher
of a fat cat smiling and a empty cage
with the door open, so I wrote this
    poem for it.
