Why'd You Die?

by Shelby G.   Jan 25, 2005

I've fallen for
A man so sweet
The world itself had cried

It was to good
To be called true
The man I love had died

I count to one
And take a breath
Yet still I can't forget

The words you said
Before you died
"I never will forget..."

You couldn't finish
It happened so fast
And now I'm left in tears

Theres no one here
To hold my hand
And chase away my fears

Baby, Why'd
You have to go
And leave me here alone?

I'll tell you this
I won't forget
That hour that you'd shone

Could have been me
Instead of you
You could still be alive

You're my hero
Though your gone
Forever will you strive

Within my heart
My lonely soul
But baby why'd you die?

Now all I have
Is a faded thought
That'll always make me cry

You're all I had
My one true love
But cruelty got its way

Someday we'll be
Together again
But 'til that fateful day

The man I loved
Was taken from me
That'll always make me cry

I love you so
But still I ask
Baby why'd you die?

This poem was very well written, with a lot of flow. The rhyme scheme was pretty cool. It was sad, but very heartfelt. Keep it up
