Tears for You

by *theloved1*   Jan 25, 2005

Her bed- the pastures greenest grass
with warm sheets of yellow sun rays
the surf pounds along with the beat of her heart
her bright twinkling star eyes look down on every part of us
no matter who we are or where we're from
she glows with skin of the earth
yes, yes she is the earth
the brown, brown earth
everywhere she is
everyone she is
part of all of us
all of us is her
and she cries
oh she does weep for me
tears of rain for you
for the stray cat, and lost dog
for the orphan, the hungry
the hurting, and the angry
the hopeless, heartless
restless, helpless
loveless, soulless
unwanting, unwanted
unaware, ungrateful
unthinking, unfeeling
uncaring, unbelieving
despairing, dishonest
distrustful, and distanced
oh yes, she does weep
weeps for us
for us the 21st century
she sees the hate
the hate and the hurt
she does cry
does fill the oceans
drench the deserts
quench my thirst
her thirst
our thirst for healing
before we destroy us
before we destroy
before...
