Inevitable Disaster (true story)

Her feet drag across the street
Her heart starts beating faster
What she’ll find out may break her spirit
Or cause an unbearable disaster

She slowly rings the bell
Half hoping hes not there
But as he opened up the door
She tried her best just not to stare

He looked so different than who she knew
As he began to speak to her
When she interrupted with her question
His eyes said he was unsure

The words he spoke burned into her heart
And he spoke his answer
Her closest friend was dying
Unless they find a cure for cancer
