Our Friendship

I thought for a while
As I sat back and looked through everything
Remembering the laughs and tears
And the songs we used to sing

The memories we shared
And the changes we faced
The people we cared about
And the ones who were just a waste

I look back on our friendship
All the times we cried
Over silly little reasons
That were pointless to hide

I see our smiling faces
When we saw a cute boy
And if he asked one of us out
We'd start jumping in joy

Some things seem so childish
But I treasure them the same
Safely placed in my heart
Even if it was lame

We got a little older
Starting realizing more
Saw things in a different view
Things weren't like before

We were going through problems
But our friendship helped us through
Crying for one another
Wondering if not for each other what we would do

Holding hands and sharing laughs
Tears joy and pain
Being there for each other
Helped us sustain

The long nights of endless gossip
Filled with laughs and tears
Sleepovers filled with so many emotions
I'll look back and cherish those years

I'll remember our fights
That in reality lasted for an hour
But to us it seemed like forever
Because without the other life was always sour

I'll never forget all the times you were there for me
I wish I did the same for you
Helping you through problems and crying all your tears
And doing as much as a friend can do

I'll always see our happy moments
Mixed in with some of our pain
Getting through it together
Walking together in the rain

Not caring if we were soaking wet
Or if we'd catch a cold
We were friends together
So it didn't matter what anyone lese told
