My demon

by Christina Gomes   Jan 28, 2005

I would sit every night
All alone on my bed
She would come to say hi
And her cheeks would blush into a red

So sweet and playful
She would always smile at you
The perfect friend to have
An accompany of two

She would stare into your eyes
And burn out the truth that lies deep inside
Feel all your pain
And see the things you always hide

She'll frown and talk to you
In a voice of a child
Make you realize your enemies
And her anger would grow mild

She feeds off of pain
And the hurt in everyone's soul
She grows stronger as the tears fall from your eyes
Sadness is her goal

I am not proud of her
But neither am I ashamed
She is who she is
And so be it if I’m blamed

She is my demon
She lies in my heart
She comes out when I’m angry
She'll tear your soul apart

Don’t get her mad
And don't make her cry
For once the tears fall
You can kiss your life good-bye

You’ll forget your memories
Whether they were good or bad
Start life by bleeding
And forget everyone you had
She'll become your everything
Your life and your nightmare
She'll seduce you again
With that terrifying stare

This is all she does
Ruin everyone’s life at heart
For she suffered enough
And from all the pain she makes it bad from the start
