That Darkened Day

He didn't deserve to
be on this earth
he thought he was created
to make people worse

He thought he was the reason
for the pain in there life
all he wanted to do was
pull out the knife

But she fought against him
with all of her might
he thought he could just
slip out of sight

But she has not forgotten
she couldn't stand to see him
lying there
tattered and rotten

she told him it didn't
have to be this way
so he made the decision
that darkened day

a decision to live
the way God wanted him to
despite the good or bad
he was going to make it through

Together they remained friends
through so many years
helped each other
to cope through to tears

of this friendship you see
because that mysterious girl
was me.
