You're standing on the other side
trying to open my doors
you can reach my hands
but I cannot reach yours

It's weird how we're together
yet so far away
You see your world in colors
I see mine in grey

I wish I could try to explain it
these thoughts going on in my head
I'm running away from everything
but wake up in my bed

And I'm standing in the darkness
crying crimson tears
You hear me when I'm screaming
instead of covering your ears

The keys to the doors are missing
They've been gone for a very long time
Can you wipe my eyes when I'm crying?
Cause crying is a crime

Somehow I can't stop it;
the tears won't ever dry
I don't think I am ready
to watch life pass me by
