The Garden

by CritiX   Jan 31, 2005

While walking trough a garden
I was looking desperately for me
Among all these different flowers
Left open for everyone to see

But wherever I looked
Me I could not find
Among all these flowers
From a different kind

In the middle of this beautiful garden
There stood a single rose
Colored the most perfect red
That anyone could choose

Preserved perfect in time
It was never going to die
But I started looking again
For “me” I was hoping to find

Suddenly I stumbled upon a mirror
And something was staring back
It looked like I was looking at myself
But my eyes were dark, completely black

Completely in rage I shattered my mirror
Thousand bits of glass fell on the floor
While stepping on some I fell and got hurt
The pain made me wishing for more

Then I ran… and I ran some more
Until there was no more to run
I completely killed myself
…. I had won
