Broken Glass

by ?   Feb 1, 2005

Lying on the floor is a girl scarred till the end
She’s gone too far, she cannot mend

You ask if she’s okay, each and every day
This time she’ll let it out, this time she’ll say

She was stuck within a glass, the glass of life
You made it rock, one more stab with your knife

But you made it rock, just a little bit more
The glass and the girl, fell to the floor

Now she lays alone, broken glass cutting her skin
But you cannot see the glass, for it is within

Within her heart, deep down inside her soul
Lie many scars and an empty dark hole

It’s growing and growing, consuming her hope,
Now the time has come, where she cannot cope
