Dusty Path

by EpithetPoet   Feb 1, 2005

Walk the dusty path
Never looking back
Wide open spaces
And a lone dusty track

I walk this path alone
Picking rocks along the way
Throwing them to the abyss
To pass the placid day

Desolation is all around
What i walk from morn to night
Day is beauty but in the dark
There is not a speck of light

The days are of beauty
I love them very much
Feel the dust on the ground
Rocks warm to the touch

The nights are different
Hate saturates the air
So hard to breathe at times
So hard to stand and bare

The nights are scary
I just cry and hide
Wait for day to come
And the dark to subside

The dark is so frequent
The light so rare
Tears turn dust to mud
But i dont even care

With mud i cannot walk
Without light i cannot see
Goodbye to dusty path
Goodbye to air i breathe

    I like it very much.

It is very much like the dusty path many walk. Sporadic in its convention. The occasional whirl of hate, suprise, & eventual end.

    Nice.
