Alone

by Sinister Soire   Feb 2, 2005

This path I walk I walk alone
For the salvation which I seek
Violence I do not condone
But I am far from weak

This silence is my master
And conscience is my tsar
I avoid each great disaster
By, often, very far

The time alone that I spend
Is what makes me who I am
It is against myself to blend
And I don’t give a damn

Walking this path in solemn silence
Making my way to the end
Prepared for the useless violence
And the resulting wounds to mend

This society is constant noise
The bustle of a drone
The people and they’re simple joys
While I sit here all alone
