Invisible

by ♥-Sharon Ardern-♥   Feb 3, 2005

Just a little girl
So lost inside
Forced by her father
To hide.

His prisoner
His rules to be kept
His hands searching
While she slept.

She cries
To him that's weak
He says she's worthless
Just so bloody freak

So she stays
Trapped at home
Just him and her
On their own

He says
She's a woman now
She still feels small
She wonders how

He has his way
She lies bleeding everywhere
Wishing, hoping
That she wasn't there

Where can she go
Hidden from sight
The world doesn’t know
So she doesn't fight

His fists, his games
One day became too much
She suddenly became
Completely out of touch

A recluse
In her own head
Not even caring
Is he left her dead

She never spoke again
He gave up, moved away
She remained curled up
No reason to go, none to stay

Just waiting
For life or death
Hoping as she breathed
Each would be her last breath

They found her
Skinny and bruised
They saw her state
Obviously been abused

They took her to hospital
Four years she never spoke
Wouldn't go near
Any other bloke

The only noise she made
Was when she cried at night
She was locked away again
Hidden, still out of sight.
