Time Warp

Mind stuck in the past
but wanting to look to the future
even though she's seen the poems
the innermost of my soul
nothing has changed

many a horrid fight
an occasional 'sorry'
never a change
when she asked if I would be 'safe'
I wanted to hit her

but I can't do anything
she makes me feel worthless
like I have no reason to live
then she doesn't even acknowledge
the fact that it's her fault

I'm fed up with this
stuck in a time warp
same thing, different fight
every day it never changes
time after time, blow after blow
