Ravaged Dreams (Dedicated to the Tsunami victims.)

by Justin   Feb 4, 2005

(The poem might seem to be blasphemous or unholy, but to think I blame god for the millions of innocent lives that were destroyed. I feel enraged when I see after such great catastrophe, evil people are taking advantage of the orphans, selling them off, corrupt officials looting the aid money, stealing sacks of food and selling them off to local black marketeers. I really wonder if God is seeing all this and if He is then what the hell is going on ? )

Tell me oh lord why would i look up to you.
Let me idolize Satan in your place,
Throw away the holy water, drink from the cup of blood,
To assuage the fears of hell, which i find on this earth.

Look at dreaded faces. Wake up from your slumber,
look at the dead children, dreams swept away,
in your frenzied vehemence, lashing ravenous waves,
foaming monsters, laying to sleep a thousand innocence.

Satanic vengeance on those who but only worshiped you,
And you watched in your lethargic mirth,
when thousands were left with ravaged dreams and lives
poor souls poor children of mother earth.

This is but your creation. But to destroy is not your right,
dooming poor millions to scrounge for their next meal.
Is it justice to deprive poor, orphaning countless.
While other's coffers runs over, the brim?

Not satisfied by your game of destruction ,
you leave the dying in the fangs of wolves,
drawing blood with every bite on the helpless souls,
once blooming lives metamorphosed to corpses.

If i taste infernal ambience on mortal grounds,
why i should worship you, the king of hell,
which you are not. So whose reign spreads over?
prince of darkness with his blood dripping trident.

I cannot offer you answers or solace. I have not seen the horrors that you nor the other victims and survivors have beheld. Instead, I can only quote, "the Lord works in mysterious ways." Bless you and yours.
