Red rose

by ScarletHaze   Feb 4, 2005

A red rose lies upon a coffin
who is buried in there is alreday forgotten.
lying at the bottom a pit
soon to be coverd by the earth you once loved so much.
no-one else is here to grieve.
everyone else where you already are.
yet i am still here.
now all alone and full of fear.

i sprinkle soil upon you now.
you will be buried tomorrow.
yet what of me?
the one you left behind.
doomed to remain here all alone.
the last one i love now gone.

the knife my only friend now, yet i am struck with an idea.
i take the blade my decision made.
i choose to be with you.
now we shall both be forgotten.
but alone no longer.
the soil tries to soak up my blood.
the rain washing the rest down to you.
you and that deep red rose.
