Darkness Presumes

by NiXiT   Feb 5, 2005

I will ruin people’s lives no more
Get in their way and be their scorn
Where happiness used to consume
Now only darkness in life presumes

How it came to this, I’ll never know
How my life reached its all time low
My only wish was to keep you near
Forever more the pain shall sear

My love for you would have never died
But I will not forgive the fact that you lied
You said you loved me, beyond what I knew
Worse than your lies, I trusted you
I loved you with such benign a passion
But still all your love, I could never fashion

No one cares, this much I can see
Content with life, I shall never be
Life holds nothing more than death
Nothing but sorrow until my final breath
It was but one who loved me
One who was always there when needed be

Forget not, I sufficed all that you bid
No one will ever love you as I did
No longer will people worry for me
Forever forgotten, you all shall see
