In Your Head

You know that voice
In the back of your head
That tells you your choice
Without being said?

You know the sound
That you listen to at night
That puts you on the ground
And veils you from sight?

You know that beat
That keeps your heart alive?
The one that keeps your head neat
But for filthiness you strive?

You know that thought
That tells you you’re not good enough?
That for explanations you sought?
But you realize that it’s just too tough?

Well, I really must confess
It was me that I find
Caused a big mess
In the inside of your mind

Words cannot say
How sorry I will be
If I never got that day
To be the one that you see

So if it was havoc I brought
I apologize as I’ve said
It was you I sought
And only to be in your head
