Grandma, I love you

by Tammy   Feb 8, 2005

Grandma, I love you
for all you've given me over the years
your love, your kindness,
your laughter and your tears
We shared so much together
we became such good friends
I only wish I had the chance
to do it all again.

Grandma, I miss you
I love you more than you know
my tears are tears of selfishness
wishing you weren't gone
I know you're in a better place
there's no more pain to face
since the good Lord took you home.

My only comfort is knowing
someday I'll see you again
up in heaven with grandpa
please tell him I love and miss him
and I fulfilled his last wish
I'm living my life for the Lord
I'll try to do my best.
