To The People On This Site -2-

by ♥-Sharon Ardern-♥   Feb 8, 2005

I come here at the end
Of every tiring miserable day
Clicking on this site
So I can drift away

Read poems, write poems
It’s a whole other world for me
An escape, another universe
A universe in which I’m free

For over a year this has been
The only place to call home
I go there when I feel sad,
And especially when I feel alone

People on this site
Have become so close
Like a cyber family, they know
Of every cut, every tear and overdose

You all know me better
Than anyone in my life
You know the why’s and when’s
You relate to the agony, the strife

And when I stumble and fall
You write for me, praying
That I’m still alive, still going
Hoping that I’m staying

This is a poem to say thank you
And to say that you ARE real
I’ve never met 99% of you
But you all know EXACTLY how I feel.

* The whole you are real thing is because my psychiatrist always calls my Internet friends not real. But you are more real than the plastic people surrounding me.

i just thought i'd share this with you since its familiar to yours
    HEAVEN ON-LINE

There`s a land where I go when I need to share
that`s not on a map, yet exists everywhere.
A land of names, with & without faces, a curious place.
A modern creation that`s called cyberspace.

There`s all creation of people with cute little names like
Pookie, and Sandman and Rosebud and Flames.

Some are just snobs and some are real fun.
And some of them just want to find someone.
But both good and bad they all play a role.
Still each one unique, but part of the whole.

We talk and laugh and wonder why.
We flirt and we hug and sometimes we cry.
We now can be heard and also seen.
Yes there, right on our screen.

But all in all the most curious part,
Is the power it has to open our heart.
To share with a stranger those things we`ve concealed.
Which to our closest of friends we`d never reveal.

Our deepest regrets and most troubling fears.
The scars in our life which bring us to tears.

I don`t understand this magical spell,
But I know that without it, my life would be hell.

This must have been planned by the Creator up above,
Cause there`s no place on earth where you`ll find as much love.
When I need direction I know I can find those angels from heaven just waiting online.

you are amazing, that was excellent! Don't let your psychiatrist tell you what is real and what isnt real.. you know how you feel, she doesnt need to tell you

i hope you live a full life!
