Nothing

I have no passion
either in or for life.
I am empty
with no sense of direction,
lost on a dead end street
like a nightmare
surrounded by darkness
falling into a bottomless depth
with flailing arms
but nothing to grasp;
no solid foundation.
Everything rushes by me
as I am stuck in the eye of the tornado,
yet untouched by the world.
The icy cruelty has left me numb
to where I feel nothing,
I have nothing,
I am nothing.
