RIP Mum

by Kasey   Feb 11, 2005

Although I can't remember,
The day that you died,
I still remember being there,
Right by your side.

I was only two and a half,
Too little to understand,
It must have been painful,
When you traveled to another land.

It was January the 29th,
When you went to the other side,
You held my hand and flew up,
And we knew that you had died.

You left me and Dad,
Without saying goodbye,
We knew the Cancer had won,
And we both began to cry.

One day we'll be together,
Just all of us, which equals 3,
I can't wait to see you,
Just Dad, you and me.

Written when I was 10, please comment!!

wonderful poem, i loved it... i know the feeling; my mom died of cancer when i was 11, leaving me, my dad, and my two brothers. The comforting part is knowing that they are in heaven. Keep up the great writing!
