The Cheater

This is a poem I wrote about when my ex cheated on me. Please vote!

You are my boyfriend,
My love for you is genuine and true
But since yours was not,
I don’t know what to do

I was so happy
Because I had someone as special as you
I should have known
That it was too good to be true.

I loved you so much
And gave you my heart,
I thought I made a good decision
Until you tore it apart

You said you loved me,
You said I was yours till the end
You said many things
That did not comprehend.

You cheated on me
I couldn’t believe it
The clues were there,
I should have seen it.

Now I’m in a horrible depression
I cry instead of sleep
My heart has been murdered
Now all I can do is morn its’ death and weep.

All I can say is I’m sorry.
I guess I wasn’t good enough for you
Why else would you have done what you did?
I guess you just needed someone new.

I’m sorry I’m not pretty
I’m sorry that I cared
I’m sorry that I loved you
I shouldn’t have even dared.

We are still together,
Even though you used my heart as a game
Please, just promise me this:
You will never again cause so much pain.
